AGENDA ITEM:Millstream Arts Festival –Street Closure Request

BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:Each year the Council receives and approves a similar request as the
event has not caused disruption in the City.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:The Millstream Arts Festival will be held on September 29, 2019
between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The artists will set up early that morning. In order to provide a safe
environment, the Millstream Arts Committee has requested authorization to closeMinnesota Street from

2nd Avenue NWto 1Ave NE; College Avenue North, north to the east/west alley (1/2 block)from 6:00
AM –7:00 PM.The Committee does have a plan for detour and will work with the St. Joseph Police
Department.
The Millstream Committee will be in contact with the property owners affected by the Millstream Arts
Festival.

Street ClosurePermit Application as presented to allow the Millstream Arts Festival to close Minnesota
