AGENDA ITEM: Ladder#2 Update
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: With the approval of the Fire Board at the meeting in February,the
committee has met to discuss the option of upgrading the ladder truck. The truck is a 2001 and we have
it scheduled to be replaced every 20 years. We are still in the early stages looking at options that would
fit our town the most. Our current thought is looking at adding to the length of the ladder we have now
from 65'to 100' but trying to stay in a single axel truck making it more maneuverable and easier.to get
into tight places. If we need a platform we have them available from other close departments. Again,
we are in the early stages of getting numbers but we are probably in the 1. 2 million range.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Unknown final price as of right now.
