AGENDA ITEM: Ladder #2 Replacement Update
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Ladder 2 truck committee has met a few times and we also brought
in 1 manufacture, McQueen who handles Pierce trucks, with a demo
truck to see what are some of the new options in a ladder truck and
what a new ladder truck would cost with what options we are thinking
of. McQueen said a rough estimate is going to be around the 1 million
dollars. The committee is looking at going from our current 65’ single
axel truck to a 100’ single axel ladder truck.
We would also like to meet with Rosenbauer to see what options they
may have before bring back any final number. But talking with the rep
on the phone and giving him some ideas that we are looking for, he also
thought that the price tag may be around the 1-million-dollar price tag.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Not at this time

REQUESTED ACTION: Get the ok from the Fire Board to continue the process of getting numbers on a
new ladder truck.
