AGENDA ITEM: Annual Licenses – Requested Action: Issue Malt liquor, cigarette and
amusement licenses based on the attached list for the license period
January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Annually the City Council approves the following business
licenses: Cigarette, Amusement, and Off/On Sale Malt Liquor. City staff sends applications for all the
business licenses and it is up to the business to determine which license they wish to make application for.
The intoxicating licenses are considered by the Council in May of each year with a license period of July
1 to June 30 of each calendar year. With an intoxicating license, you can sell Malt Liquor without the
additional license.

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Authorize the Mayor and Administrator to execute the 2020
Cigarette, Amusement, and Off/On Sale non-intoxicating licenses.
