HomeMy WebLinkAbout[12d] Public Works Department Report TERRY THENE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR 75 Callaway Street East St Joseph, MN 56374 tthene@cityofstjoseph.com PUBLIC WORKS REPORT TO: HONERABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: December 16, 2019 SUMMARY Staff has been working on snow removal and equipment break downs due to the snow plowing process. At this time, we are waiting for parts to repair a 5-ton plow truck and we managed to get the other equipment operational. Repairs at the community center have been required fairly steadily. The insulated ceiling has been installed and Precise is working on the heat source. STAFF Staff has been very supportive of coming in on there scheduled days off and plowing for the City, Randy Torborg has been exceptionally supportive with the plowing and boiler operations at the Community Center and deserves to be noticed for his efforts. Jacob Reber is in training ands doing well. Jacob passed his background check and has completed his security training. Eric Poissant had an accident with the 1575 Front Mount tractor with blower. The windshield was broken when the machine hit an object under the snow. Eric is OK and Eric is OK and will be back to work on Monday. UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS th Besides the Holidays the City is preparing to have the Frisbee Golf Ice Bowl on January 11 at the Millstream Park. Proceeds go to the food shelf. -Terry
