HomeMy WebLinkAbout[05a] Administration Report KRIS AMBUEHL CITY ADMINISTRATOR 75 Callaway Street East St Joseph, MN 56374 kambuehl@cityofstjoseph.com ADMINISTRATION REPORT TO: HONERABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: January 17, 2020 SUMMARY Kayla and Mary have been busy with election training in preparation for the Presidential Primary. I participated in FMCSA Clearing house training to ensure we are compliant with the new federal law. Both public works staff and myself toured the Sauk Rapids maintenance storage building to help in planning of the public works storage building. Terry and Myself met with LSA staff to determine their building needs at the community center. City staff met with CSB staff to provide input in the future college/city needs as they develop their future planning. I was able to meet with multiple area business owners. Therese and I met with CSBSJU professor and SHIP to talk about student projects that will benefit the City of St Joseph. I discussed options with (2) Solar Garden providers that would like to collaborate with the city. Adult Basic Education staff was vetted and will occupy the allowed space beginning February 1. STAFF Union negotiations are ongoing and we expect to receive feedback this week from both LELS and AFSCME. Interviewed and selected a Rec Director (Pending Council Approval).
