PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council approved budgeting for a sweeper purchase.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Currently the City has a 1997 Elgin Street Sweeper which is 23
years old. The Council previously requested that the 1997 sweeper be rebuilt to add life to the sweeper
which was completed. The Elgin Sweeper is again showing increased maintenance cost and down time.
Staff is requesting the Council approve the purchase of a new Elgin sweeper from McQueen Equipment.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $204,000 with the trade in of the 1997 Elgin Sweeper

Elgin Street Sweeper in the amount of $204,000 with the trade in of the current 1997 Elgin Sweeper.
