BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the last meeting in November, we were at 28 members, as of

February 1, 2020 we are down to 27 members as FF Sharon Rennie has moved out of the area. (Sharon
joined the department in 2011).
Through our Facebook page, an insert we put in our Safety Calendar that was mailed out, and word of
mouth, we have 6 individuals that are interested in joining the department. We have not been able to set
up any interviews or testing yet, but would like to get the Fire Boards approval now to move forward with
the top three individuals to fill the vacancies seeing how we will not meet again until May.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $5,000 per member – which includes First Responder Class, FF1, FF2,
CLD
License w/Tanker, and New Gear after the complete all classes and lic.

REQUESTED ACTION: Approve to move forward with the top three individuals that the Fire
Departments Investigating committee recommends.
