PUBLIC WORKS REPORT
TO: HONERABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
DATE: February 12, 2020
SUMMARY
Staff overall has been working on snow issues through out the city. Equipment repairs and maintenance
is ongoing. Building maintenance has been completed as needed. We have started planning for the summer
activities and work. Staff have been meeting with council members about a possible shop extension. This would
basically entail a floor, 4 walls and a ceiling. Staff still is working on mandatory reports for the state
government
STAFF
Sent three staff to Boiler training for a two-day School. Now they require a year of boiler checks and
maintenance under a licensed boiler operator in order to take the state exam. Safety training is ongoing monthly.
UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS
Staff usually starts losing the ice rink in February, the sun is starting to get stronger. Within the next
month to two months equipment ordered will start showing up. We anticipate more meetings on the proposed
PW’s building, SCAWAC storm water education planning.
