BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Staff received a request from Carl Berg to use the open area to
the east of the Community Center for a vendor event on June 27, 2020. The event would be to showcase
local direct sales vendors, crafters, and a food truck. Setup would take place Friday afternoon, and the
event would be Saturday from 9AM – 3PM. This is the same weekend as the city-wide garage sales.
Carl has arranged Nelson Sanitation to provide 2 porta potties for the event. Berg will have garbage
barrels made available and will clean the area after the event.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: None

in the open area to the east of the Community Center.

Dear St Joseph City Council,
I am asking permission to use the field behind Little Saints Academy on the afternoon of June 26 and all day June 27. I
am setting up a vendor event to showcase local direct sales vendors, crafters, and a food truck. Set up for the event
would be late afternoon on Friday, and the event itself would be Saturday from 9 to 3. I have reached out to Nelson
Sanitation and they are willing to donate 2 porta potties for the event. I am asking to use the field, parking lot access,
permission to put up signage, and some garbage barrels to help keep the area clean.
