BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION N/A PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION N/A REFERENCE AND BACKGROUND Between the 3rd and 10th day after the General Election, the City Council must meet as a canvassing board and declare the results of the election. The results that are included were taken from the MN Secretary of State website. Stearns County will be canvassing election results on Friday, November 8th. Their results will be added to the packet once received. BUDGET IMPACT STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION Adopt Resolution 2024-068 Canvassing the November 5, 2024, Municipal General Election Returns and Declaring the winning candidates to be Adam Scepaniak for Mayor and Kelly Beniek and Adam Schnettler for City Council. SUPPORTING DATA/ATTACHMENTS Resolution 2024-068 Election Results RESOLUTION 2024-068 RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024 MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS WHEREAS, The City of St. Joseph held a municipal general election on November 5, 2024; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has prepared a summary of the returns of the forenamed election; and WHEREAS, the City Council must canvass the municipal general election returns and declare the results after the election. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Joseph that the attached returns are hereby canvassed and declared the official results of the November 5, 2024 General Election. ADOPTED by the City Council this 12th day of November , 2024.
