Members Present: Mayor Rick Schultz, Councilmembers Adam Scepaniak, Kevin Kluesner, Bob Loso, Kelly Beniek City Representatives Present: Administrator David Murphy, Finance Director Lori Bartlett, City Clerk Kayla Klein Others Present: Amy Bonfig, Patty Wetterling Kinetic Contract Renewal: Schultz provided a timeline on how the city got to this point. The city has been presented with a contract extension that would essentially have the same terms as the current contract. One change is that the monthly costs would decrease by $600 per month; however, that $600 savings would cover the costs of the City hiring an intern to provide administrative support to the campaign committee. Members of the committee were present and provided their insight. Wetterling noted that the city is in this position due to a multitude of things, and it is not just Kinetic's fault. The city needs to look in the mirror as well. Discussion was had regarding the opportunity to have a local fundraising company takeover. It would help having local ties and someone that knows the community and those that support it. Both Wetterling and Bonfig had initial and brief conversations with Jon Ruis with Ruis Consulting Group. Consensus was to have City Administrator Murphy connect with Ruis to discuss terms and his availability and potentially bring forth a proposal at a later date. The Kinetic contract runs through the end of 2024 so there is still time. Work session was adjourned at 5:56PM Kayla Klein City Clerk
