The construction will include adding a second eastbound to northbound left turn lane from CR 75 to CR 133, widening CR 133 to a divided four lane road between CR 75 and Elm Street East, and constructing a roundabout at the intersection of CR 133 and Elm Street East. It is expected that construction work will begin mid-June 2024 and continue into the fall. The county is coordinating the city’s extension of Elm Street with the CR 133 project. The work will be done in two phases. Phase 1 will include construction of the roundabout along with construction of the Elm Street extension. Phase 2 will begin upon the completion of Phase 1 and includes construction along CR 133 between CR 75 and the new roundabout, and construction of the second eastbound to northbound left turn lane along CR 75. Stearns County is partnering with Stonebrooke Engineering, Inc. of Burnsville on the project design. Watering Schedule & Lawn Irrigation Tips. City ordinance imposes an odd/even watering schedule. If your house number ends in an odd number, you are allowed to water on odd numbered days. If your house number ends in an even number, you are allowed to water on even numbered days. • Keep grass at 3.5” in height to encourage deeper roots, shade the ground and retain more water. • Aerate your lawn to help water infiltration. • Established lawns require only one inch of water per week, including rainfall. Overwatering is detrimental to the lawn, as it encourages shallow/weak roots and fungal diseases. • Water in the early morning for best results and turn your sprinkler off it it’s raining. 2023 Consumer Confidence Report is available on the city website.
